Subject: Shaping Faringdon - your views, your Vision
I would like to invite you to a Public Open meeting in Faringdon on Thursday 17th February from 6pm to 8pm.
The purpose of this meeting is to:-
- Explore and identify the key economic constraints and other issues for Faringdon
- Identify what makes a market town successful
- Seek agreement about the priority issues facing the town focussing on: retailing, planning issues, infrastructure, public services, health, education, etc
- What actions should be taken (and by whom) to achieve this Vision
There are many possible reasons for undertaking this including: the opportunity to influence the growth and development of Faringdon over the longer-term and many of the actions may be taken forward in the Action Plan for Faringdon in 2012/13.
This is an open meeting and all are welcome. The meeting will be facilitated by Matt Prosser (Strategic Director for Vale of White Horse District Council and South Oxfordshire District Council).
Please spread the invitation widely to all who live in Faringdon and in the surrounding villages who rely on Faringdon for retail, leisure and other services.
